”Everything You Never Wanted to Know About Crim/Imm, until Padilla”

Chris Christensen is the founder of Christensen Legal in Boise, where we are dedicated to immigration law. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2007 and then clerked for the Honorable Darrell Perry at the Idaho Court of Appeals for two years. Thereafter, he practiced immigration law with Andrade Legal for over six years in two different stints. In the interim, he served as the Director of the Migrant Farmworker Law Center at Indiana Legal Services.

He is a two-term past Chair of the Idaho Chapter of AILA, participated in AILA’s National Day of Action in April 2018, and currently serves as USCIS liaison for the Idaho Chapter. In Fall 2023, he taught the Immigration Law and Policy class at the University of Idaho College of Law.

Lately, his practice has been largely consumed with Afghan asylum applications and is now transitioning to Ukrainian asylum applications. When he’s not advocating, educating or representing immigrants, he enjoys spending his time with his wife and three young children, especially in the great outdoors.
